Debbie Katz came to Miami as a young woman. She often complained that she could not find the comfortable and stylish clothes she was looking for when shopping. Debbie was sure, that her frustration was shared by many other women. She started looking around for fabrics and fell in love with high quality American cotton gauze. The Debbie Katz brand was born and the cotton gauze is still her signature fabric.   

After focusing on resort wear for more than a decade, Debbie introduced a line of ethnic-inspired boho bags and clutches that hit instant success. The use of vintage Indian embroidery patches makes every bag a unique piece of artisanal handicraft. 

Debbie travels the wold, tracing fair trade materials and committed to elevate artisanship in India, Thailand and Bali. Women are at the heart of Debbie Katz. We believe in empowering women, especially single mothers, to work.
